Evidence rule: active asking prices are not completed-sale comps. If you have to mix raw and graded cards, different parallels, or different grading companies, treat the result as lower confidence.
What makes a good sports card comp?
A useful comparable sale should match the asset closely enough to support the decision: year, product, card number, parallel, autograph or memorabilia attributes, grading company, grade, condition, and recency all matter. Median is often more stable than average when one sale is unusually high or low.
